Theme Thursday {2}: Touch

This meme is being hosted by Kavyen @ Reading Between Pages. Each Thursday she will be posting a new "theme" Anyone can join in; here are the rules:

• Select a conversion/snippet/sentence from your current read

This week's "theme" is: TOUCH

Because the Catholic church wouldn't touch Nick and me with a ten-foot pole, Father B. had managed to get himself appointed as a justice of the peace. His bishop wasn't happy, but the good father said it was worth it to be able to perform our wedding ceremony.
