Review: All She Wants 4 Christmas by Jessica Lee

All She Wants 4 Christmas
Jessica Lee {Blog | Twitter}
Publisher: Breathless Press
Publication Date: December 10, 2010
Kindle
Source: Publisher
Genre: Menage
Characters: Monica, Dane
Challenge: 100+, Ebook

What if on Christmas Eve all your darkest desires came to life? Could you handle it?

It's Christmas Eve, and all Monica Sims wants is for her fiance, just once, to step outside his comfort zone. She loves him, and life is fine in their perfectly planned world. But Monica is ready for more. She takes a risk and shares with him her darkest fantasies: Domination. Submission. Surrendering to the will of more than one man. But her confession is more than her straitlaced boyfriend can handle-or so she thought.

Dane knows exactly what he wants in bed: just him and Monica, his fiancee-alone. Simple, easy, vanilla sex was all he ever needed. That was until the night he found his fiancee in her office, watching-enjoying-a very naughty movie on her laptop. Determined to be the one to unleash her control, Dane decides to surprise her on Christmas Eve with a trip to a private fetish club. But they won't be alone.
Monica is surprised when he fiancé offers to make her fantasy come to life. Never had she expected her straight-laced fiancé, Dane, would be open to a foursome.

All She Wants 4 Christmas built on a hot steamy sex scene between Dane and Monica and the two men he invites in. There’s not much else going on in this story, but the one scene does pack a nice amount of heat.

Dane was willing to put aside his reservations about sharing Monica with other men in order to make her happy. And if bringing in two complete strangers was the way to do that, he would.

If a quick, hot sex scene is what you’re after, then this is the read for you.

Review: Club Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

Club Shadowlands
Cherise Sinclair {FacebookTwitter}
Series: Masters of the Shadowlands #1
Publisher: Loose Id LLC
Publication Date: January 13, 2009
Kindle {p.155}
Genre: BDSM
Characters: Jessica Randall, Zachery "Master Z"
Challenge: 100+, 50 States ~ Florida

Her car disabled during a tropical storm, Jessica Randall discovers the isolated house where she's sheltering is a private bondage club. At first shocked, she soon becomes aroused watching the interactions between the Doms and their subs. But she's a professional woman--an accountant--and surely isn't a submissive...is she?

Master Z hasn't been so attracted to a woman in years. But the little sub who has wandered into his club intrigues him. She's intelligent. Reserved. Conservative. After he discovers her interest in BDSM, he can't resist tying her up and unleashing the passion she hides within.
Jessica is stranded in the middle of a storm with Club Shadowlands as her only source of shelter. Master Z takes pity on her and lets her in against his better judgment. Upon which she immediately causes trouble.

Jessica is turned on by what she sees inside the club, but feels she shouldn’t due to her sister’s abusive relationship. Master Z sees that she’s struggling to fight her desire and sets out to have her experience all the club has to offer.

The BDSM wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be. I don’t know why I went into this book thinking it would be hardcore, but it wasn’t. There was spanking and restraints but nothing too drastic. So if the lighter side of BDSM is what you’re into, this will fit the bill.

The writing was good as far as the scenes and chemistry between them. The only drawback is that I would have liked the story to have been longer. I wasn’t ready for the story to be over because it felt incomplete. Although it was short, the characters did feel like real people.

But since this is a series, hopefully the next installment may wrap up the loose ends. Definitely want to continue this series.

Gone in Love ~ What's Your Song? {7}

Gone in Love by Kelli Schaefer
(click on song title for alternate listening option)

I will wipe my brothers tears with the sleeve of my jacket/ and we will beat the nighttime bloody with this song/ joys strong mallet/ and the weight wont be weighty/ will never be overbearing/ when the burden is love/ it is the only weight that ever was worth carrying.

I will hold my sister even though my arms are shaking/ we’ll demand that she be given back what has been taken/ when your gone in love there is no risk there is no prize/ just a table maybe a warm heart maybe a trusting pair of eyes

I will sing my mother hymns of old when she is passing/ for every heartache I have caused/ oh my mother I am sorry/ but when you sang it broke my heart/ I fell in love with your trying/ and I want you to know that there is nothing you have done that has been wasted

She may be aloof, and more pretty than gorgeous, but Alani Rivers is the kind of woman a hot-blooded mercenary can't forget, no matter how hard he tries. So when Jackson Savor wakes up next to the naked, sleeping beauty—with no memory of what happened—he knows he's been drugged… even if Alani doesn't.

After she was kidnapped, Alani swore she'd never trust another man again. Still, something about this strong, sexy hero with the tender touch makes her want to believe him. As Jackson hunts downs a mysterious intruder, he swears he'll move heaven and earth to keep Alani safe. But what really happened that night? And will the truth bring them closer than they ever thought possible—or put Alani squarely in harm's way again?

Teaser Tuesday: Awaken the Highland Warrior by Anita Clenney

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading. To participate, all you have to do is the following:

  • Grab your current/upcoming read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share 2-3 "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • Be careful not to include spoilers! (You do not want to ruin the book for others.)

Share the title & author so that others who enjoy your "teaser" may add the book to their TBL pile.
"I have to go out for a while. I won't be long."
"You can't leave. Not alone."
"I'm going to meet a friend."
"Him? The archeologist?"
"Does it matter?" Bree glared at him. "I don't need a bodyguard."
Of course it mattered. He'd just made love to her. He had a right to know where she was rushing off to.

Tackle It Tuesday {17}: Hot Spot by Susan Johnson

Tackle It Tuesday is a meme I started here, that's a play off of a similar meme of the same name hosted by Janice and Susan at 5 Minutes for Mom.

Here at the Book Obsessed version of this meme, the idea is to "tackle" books that have been sitting on your shelves collecting dust waiting to be read. Or to "tackle" those we've started, but yet to finish because life has gotten in the way. Also to help encourage blogger interaction, which is always a plus.

Anyone can participate!! Just link your posts in the comments section!

Hot Spot
Susan Johnson
Shelved since September 2008
Stella Scott, comic store owner and creator of her own comic book series, just can't resist breaking her own rules (never date a customer) when Danny Rees, a cross between Vigo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom, makes an offer she can't refuse. Their affair practically ignites from spontaneous combustion, with all the erotic details Johnson's fans have come to expect. Stella is sexually adventurous, and Danny is only too happy to rummage around her drawer of sex toys. There are clouds on the horizon, though: Danny has too many ex-girlfriends, a mysterious source of income, and unexplained burglaries in his office. These are truly secondary to the evolution of Stella and Danny from dangerous, exciting, pickup sex to -- you guessed it -- love.
