They Don't Know ~ What's Your Song? {29}

Weekly meme hosted by Amber

They Don't Know by Jon B

Heard about my past
Things I used to do
The games I used to play
The girls that didn't last
I know what's on your mind
You think I'm doing wrong
Can I say what is real
You are the only one
When I'm not around
Do you think of me
Or what the jealous ones
Are claiming me to be
You should know by now
That it's gonna take
A lot of trust from you
For us to make it through

You should know baby you're my angel
Nothing's gonna make you fall from heaven
Girl I just want to love you Love you

Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy
They don't know about this here
Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy
They don't know about this here

Girl lets talk about
What your friends told you
That I'm a selfish man
Want my cake and eat it to

Maybe in my past
But you changed me now
Now that I've learned to love
It's you that showed me how
Your love so real
I'd be a fool to play
Play around on you
I want to stay with you
You should know by now
That it's gonna take
A lot of trust from you
For us to make it through

You should know baby you're my angel
Nothing's gonna make you fall from heaven
Girl I just want to love you Love you

Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy
They don't know about this here
Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy
They don't know about this here

Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy
They don't know about this here
Don't listen to what people say
They don't know about you and me
Put it out your mind cause it's jealousy

Review: Their Taydelaan by Rachel Clark

Their Taydelaan
Rachel Clark
Publisher: Siren Publishing
Publish Date: April 12, 2011
Kindle
Source: Publisher
Genre: Sci-Fi, Menage
Characters: Jade, Mitchell, Zack
Challenge: 100+, Ebook
Buy the Book: Amazon

How did bumping into a man in a hospital corridor develop into dreams of red-hot threesomes? Jade can't understand why she's dreaming of the man she literally bumped into three months ago, but when she actually meets the men from her dreams at her sister's party, things seem to spiral even further out of her control. Unwilling to believe her sister's explanation, Jade still can't deny the telepathic link she now shares with the two men. Zack and Mitchell have finally found their third, the woman who completes them-their Taydelaan-but she seems intent on denying their future together. Can they convince Jade that being loved doesn't mean being dependent?

Jade encounters her mates while at the hospital for the birth of her sister’s child.

Their Taydelaan is an erotic adventure of Jade, Zack, and Mitchell becoming a permenant triad. These three were having amazing sex before ever truly meeting each other.

I really enjoyed the fact that Jade questioned the whole situation and didn’t just accept what was being told to her. She didn’t automatically accept the that these people were aliens and her life partners.

Once again Ms. Clark does a great job in getting across the emotions of all the parties involved.

Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though-she leads them as the captain and quarterback of her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. Top 10 & Tune in Tuesday {3}

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. It was created because they love making lists and wanted to share it with other bookish people.

This week's topic is:

Top 10 Books I Want to Reread
(In no particular order)

1. Enslaved by Virginia Henley - This book was among one of the first historical romances I ever read. I fell in love with this author and bought every book I could find with her name on the cover.

2. Ascension by Lauren Dane - My all time favorite series from Lauren Dane. I hate that she only wrote two books for it and has no plans to continue it.

3. The DUFF by Kody Keplinger - First YA novel I read after giving up on them because I was so disappointed with Fallen and Twilight.

4. Agnes and the Hitman by Jennifer Crusie - Laugh out loud read the entire book through.

5. Too Good to Be True by Kristan Higgins - First book I read by Higgins and I've been reading her ever since.

6. Perfect Chemistry Series by Simone Elkeles - No explanation necessary :)

7. The Next Mrs. Blackthorne by Joan Johnston - I really enjoyed this one. Now I need to go back and read the ones before this one in the series.

8. Mouth to Mouth by Erin McCarthy - Loved the characters; I was laughing along the way.

9. Pleasure Palace by Evangeline Anderson - The title says it all

10. Slow Burn by Julie Garwood - Can't go wrong with Julie

This weekly meme is hosted by Ginger at GReads that showcases music. Each week you can post an old or new song so that it gains more interest! So head on over and link up.

If you are a regular follower to my blog, you probably have figured out by now that outside of books, music is a passion as well.

So this is my first week participating in this meme, but I am a regular in a similar Thursday link-up called What's Your Song hosted by Amber.

The month of October Ginger is doing a soundtrack theme.

Teaser Tuesday: A Lawman's Christmas by Linda Lael Miller

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by MizB @ Should Be Reading. To participate, all you have to do is the following:

  • Grab your current/upcoming read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share 2-3 "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • Be careful not to include spoilers! (You do not want to ruin the book for others.)
Share the title & author so that others who enjoy your "teaser" may add the book to their TBL pile.

"You're going to tell Mama I haven't been at school, aren't you?" she asked, sounding sadly resigned to whatever fate awaited her.
"I reckon it's your place to tell her that, not mine."
"She'll be sorely vexed when she finds out," the girl said. "Mama places great store in learning."
"Most sensible people do," Clay observed, biting the inside of his lower lip so he wouldn't laugh out loud.

Review: Surrendering to Summer by Kortny Alexander

Surrendering to Summer
Kortny Alexander
Series: Whispering Mountain #2
Publisher: Siren Publishing
Publish Date: May 18, 2011
Kindle
Source: Publisher
Genre: Erotica, Menage
Characters: Summer Showers, Dalton, Denver, Dillon Durden
Challenge: 100+, Ebook
Buy the Book: Amazon

Summer Showers was excited about moving to Whispering Mountain for a better job and triple the pay. When her living situation changes, she is persuaded to move in with the Durden men temporarily. Staying with the men only makes her undeniable attraction grow stronger. She finds it difficult to suppress the desire growing inside of her.

Dalton, Denver, and Dillon Durden knew they were in trouble the minute they invited Summer to stay with them. While all three men tried to fight their attraction to her, they found it difficult to stay away.

Someone is lurking in Whispering Mountain and they won’t stop until they get what they have come for. Will the stranger rip their world apart or will the Durden men fight to protect everything they love and surrender to Summer?
Summer finds herself attracted to not one man but three, who just so happen to be brothers. Although it seems as if only two of them return her feelings.

The story started out straight to the point. No big build up to the romance between the involved parties because it was already in progress. This to me is a plus. You don't have all the filler pages distracting you from the story. But in this case I didn't really feel that there was more going on between Summer and her men other than the physical attraction.

Denver and Dillion were great guys in the fact that they treated her well, but beyond that I didn't really feel that I knew anything about them. Dalton on the other hand, came across as a jerk until he opened up ad became the wounded hero.

The overall chemistry between the three of them was very well written. Ms. Alexander manages to write some very vivid and descriptive sex scenes that will keep you wanting more.

Book Beginnings:
Being the youngest of three boys definitely has its advantages. I've watched my brothers get into some serious trouble when they were in high school.
Friday 56:
Back at home, I find Officer Reyes standing on our front stoop, wearing jeans and a T-shirt. He's got a Budweiser in his hand, and he's talking to mi'amá. I wouldn't think anything of it, but the guy has a big grin on his face, and he just touched her elbow as she laughed at something he said. Oh, man.

Review: The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton

The Perfect Play
Jaci Burton
Series: Play by Play #1
Publisher: Berkeley Heat
Publish Date: February 1, 2011
Trade Paperback {p.299}
Source: Personal Library
Genre: Erotica
Characters: Tara Lincoln, Mick Riley
Challenge: 100+
Buy the Book: Amazon

The last thing event planner Tara Lincoln needs is the jet-set lifestyle of a football pro like Mick Riley; even though their steamy and passionate one-night stand proved that Mick is an all-star-both on the field and in the bedroom.

Tara played the game of love once and lost big, and she doesn't intend to put herself out there again, especially with a certified heartbreaker. But when Mick sets his mind to win, nothing will stop him. And he has the perfect play in mind to catch this sultry vixen.

The Perfect Play took a while for me to warm up to it. I think it was around chapter 13 or 15 before I actually got into it.

Mick and Tara set the sheets, among other things, on fire throughout the entire book. there was loads and loads of steamy sex. They had great chemistry in and out of the bedroom. Although they had great chemistry, they were a bit boring at times.

I enjoyed the fact that Mick wasn't perfect, because from the outside looking in, it sure appeared that way. Both he and Tara had troubled past. I liked Mick from the start, but Tara and I had our moments. Her back and forth attitude became a little annoying, especially near the end.

I adored Mick's family. His mother, father, sister, and brother were such warm, welcoming characters. Elizabeth, Mick's agent, provided me with all the entertainment. I loved her interaction with both Mick and Tara, although I didn't really care for her as a person because of her meddling. I do look forward to seeing how she redeems herself in the next installment.
