The hardheaded Armstrong brothers are determined to rebuild their tornado-ravaged hometown in the Georgia mountains. They've got the means, they've got the manpower…what they need are women! So they place an ad in a Northern newspaper and wait for the ladies to arrive.…I found myself getting upset a lot with Alicia and her behavior. She seemed to look down her nose at the residents of Sweetness without even taking the time to try to get to know them. And as many times as she caused trouble for Marcus at the diner, I don’t know how any sane person didn’t fire her.
Eldest brother Marcus Armstrong considers the estrogen-influx an irritating distraction. He's running a town, not a dating service!
Reporter Alicia Randall thinks the Armstrong brothers are running a scam and she intends to prove it—even if it means seducing oh-so-sexy Marcus in the process. Sizzling sex and a hot story? Win-win!
At least it is, until she falls for the guy. Will love trump betrayal when the truth comes out?
Marcus was likeable enough, although a bit stiff and rigid. Alicia isn’t really the type of woman I would have pictured for him, but they seemed to make it work.
Some of the high points of this novel were the Sweetness residents. Plus the addition of Alicia’s parents provided a great side story. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Alecia and her mother.

Narration: B
The narrator did a nice job of capturing the voices of the individual characters. Although at times it did come across a little dry in parts.
