Desire Never Dies

Daisy O'Donnell doesn't get the attraction some women feel for vampires. She likes her men with a heartbeat. And she's just met one who's full of life: Erik Delacourt, the unreasonably sexy man she keeps meeting at a popular L.A. nightclub called the Crypt. She barely knows him, but there's no resisting the connection she feels. . .

There's one important detail Erik hasn't gotten around to telling her yet. He's a powerful vampire out to hunt the Blood Thief who is draining young vampires all over the city--and who has just raised the stakes by destroying one of Erik's friends. To Erik, Daisy is a bright spot of innocence in a world of darkness and menace. He'll do anything--even lie to her--to keep her safe and pure.

If only he knew that Daisy has something of her own to hide...

Daisy is a blood theft. Erik is a vampire. So of course these two cannot coexist together. But Daisy and Erik just can’t seem to stay away from each other. When Daisy steals the blood of the female the head vampire of Los Angeles turned, she and Erik must work together to keep her off the radar.

This one started out a little slow for my liking. It picked up somewhat with the arrival of Daisy’s brother Alex. With his arrival there was a tad bit more action going on in the case of vampire hunting.

Erik and Daisy’s relationship didn’t offer much heat or all that much believability. I didn’t feel the supposed love these two felt for one another. With that aside, I did enjoy one of the secondary characters, the head vampire, Rhys. His story is next in the series, so I may revisit to see how his turns out.

Duration: 11 hours

I had no problems with the narrator. She handled the voices and accents well, but I just didn't enjoy the overall story that much. But that was no fault of the narrator.
