Jane Porter
Shey Darcy, a 39-year-old former top model for Vogue and Sports Illustrated led a charmed life in New York City with a handsome photographer husband until the day he announced he'd fallen in love with someone else. Left to pick up the pieces of her once happy world, Shey decides to move back home to Texas with her three teenage sons. Life on the family ranch, however, brings with it a whole new host of dramas starting with differences of opinion with her staunch Southern Baptist mother, her rugged but overprotective brothers, and daily battles with her three sons who are also struggling to find themselves. Add to the mix Shey's ex-crush, Dane Kelly, a national bullriding champ and she's got her hands full. It doesn't take long before Shey realizes that in order to reinvent herself, she must let go of an uncertain future and a broken past, to find happiness--and maybe love--in the present.

There's something to be said for both...I've lived in the country and the city. I love the idea of country living, but city living fits my lifestyle better.

Came for the hop (thanks for hopping by my blog) but I read the description of this book and it sounds kind of awesome.
I'm definitely a city girl. I would have a hard time living somewhere where the mall wasn't a 20min bus ride from home.
Going to go check out some of our reviews.
I have always lived in a small town so thought I would love to live in the city...until I lived in L.A. for awhile. I am a country girl for sure! Especially with three little ones!

I would say living in the city is better for me. It takes a strong person to be able to in the country, to be truly at peace with oneself and secure enough to be alone and seek things on their own. I am the type of person that needs constant stimulation and excitement, lest I stand still for too long and actually think about my problems and such. I desire an enviorment where things are always changing so I can eternally chase something.

I've just moved to Fort Worth from the country in Pennsylvania. I guess I've "gone city"!! The country is a tough place to live: there are fewer people, fewer chances for "culture," and often fewer conveniences. But with all that, you better know the people that are there, you're prouder of YOUR culture, and you appreciate a convenience when you see it. If the choice is between having everything and everyone at anytime or meaningful things, deep relationships, and knowing how to work with what you have, then it's really no choice at all. Country living is my preference!

I am a city girl for sure! Although I do like breaks in the country, I am not sure I could be there all the time. Even if I am in my apartment, I like to know there is lots to door right out the door!
